Age Requirements

Students entering Junior Kindergarten must be four years old by September 30 and students entering Kindergarten must be five years old by September 30. Formal developmental screenings are given for all students entering our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes. The screening is done at school and the results will be shared with parents.

Transferring From Other Schools

Students entering grades other than Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten will be considered for admission to St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School after a thorough review of prior educational records, including report cards, standardized testing and educational/psychological testing. Additionally, all students are screened with an admissions test to assess readiness to enter our academic program. Due to limited class size, siblings are given priority for acceptance, followed by parishioners and non-parishioners.

Immunization Information

New students entering St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School must have the proper immunization shots as prescribed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. School immunization forms are available in the school clinic or office. School records and health forms for transfer students must be obtained from the child’s previous school. Parents must sign a release form at the former school in order for the records to be sent.
