We Appreciate Your Support!

The richness of a St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School education is based in part upon the generosity of parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, and friends who are all dedicated to the mission of the school. We rely upon the generosity of the SEES community to maintain the school and prepare for the future. We are aware that charitable giving is a personal decision and hope that you will consider SEES when planning your donations. We appreciate your gift. Without you, we could not provide the exceptional education our school is known for. Thank you for your confidence and generosity.

Annual Fund

Annual giving is the financial lifeblood of our school. It sustains programs and activities not covered by tuition. Every year we solicit pledges from families, friends, and alumni. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and may be made by check, credit, or stock transfer. Click here for Annual Fund frequently-asked Q & As.

Matched Giving

Please check with your employer’s Human Resources department to see if your company participates in a matching gifts program. You could double your support if your employer or your spouse’s employer participates in a Matching Gift Program.

Legacy Planning

Sometimes it’s difficult to be as charitable as you want to be when your budget is tight and the future is uncertain—after all, your family comes first. But by utilizing your long-term plans, you can make a gift to St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School that will benefit our future without affecting your income today. Here are three ways to make your gift:

  • A gift in your will or revocable living trust. Known as a bequest, this form of giving is accomplished simply by including a few sentences in your will or living trust. If you’ve already created your will, your estate planning attorney can easily make an amendment to your will, called a codicil.
  • A gift of a percentage of your retirement plan assets. One of the most tax-wise ways to support our mission after your lifetime is to name SEES as the primary or contingent beneficiary of a portion of your retirement plan. (The portion that you leave to family members could eventually be taxed at rates up to 39.6 percent, and even higher if estate taxes are assessed, whereas charitable organizations such as St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School receive your gift without owing taxes.)
  • A gift of a percentage of your life insurance death benefits. You already know you can use life insurance to make sure your family is financially secure if anything should happen to you. But did you know you can meet this goal while also using a portion of your policy to benefit our work? Consider naming St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School as a partial beneficiary for a percentage of your policy, while retaining ownership of the policy (and thus the right to change the beneficiary designation at any time during your life). For example, you might consider designating 90 percent of the death benefit to your family and the remaining percentage to SEES.

Georgette M. Richards Scholarship Fund

The Georgette M. Richards Scholarship Fund was established by the School Board in the Spring of 2012 to honor retiring SEES Principal Georgette M. Richards’ commitment to excellence in Catholic education. Every June, the Fund awards a partial SEES tuition scholarship to one exemplary, well-rounded and spiritually grounded rising eighth-grader.
