Saint Edward-Epiphany Catholic School utilizes rolling admissions procedures and will begin accepting applications for the new school year on the Tuesday after Labor Day. Spaces are limited in each class, and applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in getting more information about St. Edward-Epiphany School , here are your next steps:
- Call the main school office at 804-272-2881. We will answer your questions and schedule a tour of our school.
- Attend our school tour. See all of the wonderful things that our students and teachers are doing in our hallways and fall in the love with the SEES community.
- At the school tour, parents will have the opportunity to formally apply to the school by filling out an Admission Form for their child. You may also take the application home and mail in back to the school.
- Once the application is received, the school will contact the family to schedule the next steps in the admissions process.
Students entering pre-school must be four years old by September 30th and students entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 30th. Formal developmental screenings are given for all students entering our pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes. The screening is done at school and the results will be shared with parents.
Transferring from other schools
Students entering grades other than pre-school or kindergarten will be considered for admission to St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School after a thorough review of prior educational records, including report cards, standardized testing and educational/psychological testing. Additionally, all students are screened with an admissions test to assess readiness to enter our academic program. Due to limited class size, siblings are given priority for acceptance, followed by parishioners and non-parishioners.
New students entering St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School must have the proper immunization shots as prescribed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. School immunization forms are available in the school clinic or office. School records and health forms for transfer students must be obtained from the child’s previous school. Parents must sign a release form at the former school in order for the records to be sent.
St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School admits students of any race to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available to students. We do not discriminate on the basis of race in the administration of educational policies and any school administered programs.
