The SEES Experience

The SEES Experience

A privilege we enjoy as a Catholic elementary school is the ability to evaluate and enhance programs to meet the individual needs of our students. Saint Edward-Epiphany School is unique in its ability to accommodate the goals of advanced students, as well as the special needs of students facing academic challenges. Primary, intermediate and junior high programs are successful on many levels. Students at SEES are also instructed in Christian doctrine and Catholic values. Religion classes provide continued opportunities for spiritual growth, and an enhanced knowledge base of the Catholic faith. Students are taught the traditional prayers of the Catholic Church and prayer services, liturgies and community outreach are a frequent part of the religious curriculum.

The school works hand-in-hand with parents to build a home/school partnership. This Home & School Association (HSA) works diligently to plan and execute community events that provide family fun, while raising funds to defray the cost of tuition. Parents are the constant force behind many, many projects that enhance the school and help nurture the SEES experience. Students reap the rewards of parental commitment!

Student Life

SEES students come to learn that each individual makes a difference in the world. Care is taken to treat each child as an individual and SEES helps each child discover their God-given potential at every level of development. The successes go beyond academics, with students enjoying participation in activities such as: sports, after-school enrichment programs, scouting, music, art and Robotics. In addition to academic, sports and social programs, SEES students are challenged to reach out to the community.

At SEES, students and teachers have been rays of hope and light for many groups in the Richmond area. At the beginning of every academic year, each class adopts a special organization of choice to support in terms of outreach. As stepping stones to our community, SEES students learn the importance of making a difference with fundraising projects, relief efforts, prayers and petitions. Saint Edward-Epiphany School is educating the leaders of tomorrow, by creating within them a love of God, fellow human-beings, a love of learning, respect for community and global awareness.
