Learning From Others

We are fortunate to have guests talk with students about vocations, reaching out to those in need, and elements of our Catholic Faith.

Kathy Gross told SEES students about her role in the Justice and Peace Ministry at St. Edward Church.  She described her trips to Haiti and how everyone can make a difference in other people's lives, whether close by or in far off countries.

Father Don Lemay of St. Edward Church

Father Don Lemay gave the 5th grade students a tour of the St. Edward sacristy.  He showed them the sacred vessels and vestments used during liturgies.

When the 3rd grade met Father Don in the church, he  explained the significance of the images on the stained glass windows of the church.

Father Kevin O'Brien of St. Edward Church
Father Kevin O'Brien gave monthly scripture studies to the SEES 7th and 8th grade religion classes.

Father Randy Rule of Church of the Epiphany

Father Randy Rule greeted SEES students after Mass at Church of the Epiphany during Catholic Schools Week.

Father Kevin O'Brien

Father Kevin O'Brien visited the Pre-K classes and read the story of Noah's Ark.

A panel of religious and lay people talked to SEES students about vocations.  The students learned so much from staff members of St Edward the Confessor Church, a Deacon from Church of the Epiphany, Father Kevin from St. Edward, and  a member of Little Sisters of the Poor.
