Ambassador Families

St. Edward-Epiphany School's unique Ambassador Family Outreach Program makes new students and their families and feel like part of our community, right from the beginning.

Many SEES families volunteer to be ambassadors because it feels good to welcome others into our school community.  Current Ambassador Families meet their "new" families before the beginning of each new school year, get to know each other, and share valuable information about the school.  Each sponsoring family gathers with their new family in September for a picnic, and then all of the ambassador families come together again for the annual winter warm up dinner in January.

For many, particularly those who are new to the Richmond area, an ambassador family can really make the assimilation into our school much easier.

Even better, ambassador family relationships often grow into long term friendships, as ambassador families are matched with new families who have children of similar ages, immediately giving them something in common.

"Coming to a new school always involves quite a few changes. We feel lucky to be given the opportunity to help make that transition a little easier."
