After much community fundraising, discussion, brainstorming, and excitement, the School’s new “Field of Dreams” is poised to enter its final planning stages.

To date, the School earmarked $40,000 toward the building of the athletic field, all set aside from Home and School Association fundraising events. An additional $50,000 was contributed to the building effort from last spring’s Auction.

The “Field” will include “a straightaway providing the ability to run sprints and hurdle events, along with a sand pit for long jumps and a throwing circle for shot-put and discus. This would allow St. Edward-Epiphany to host middle school track meets with other private schools,” explains parent and Facilities Chair Matt Markee.

Proposed plans call for relocating the current playground as it is, but closer to the School building. This will maximize land usage for expansion of the field and the construction of the largest possible track area.
